Christine Bleakley is a Northern Irish TV presenter born on January 20, 1981 in County Down, Northern Island, United Kingdom. She first worked as a runner for BBC Northern Island, then underwent training to become a floor manager during her college days at the Bloomfield College School in Ballyhackamore, Belfast. She was an A-levels student back in college, and took up a politics degree. She wasn’t able to finish her degree however and rather moved to work for TV full time.

She is an avid patron of the CineMagic children’s film festival in Northern Island. She is as well the Northern Ireland ambassador of The Princes’ Trust. When not working, Christine Bleakley likes ironing her clothes. She is afraid of birds and was once attacked by a flock of geese when she was a kid.

Her career on television began as a news reporter at the Belfast Citybeat from 1995-1997. This was followed by a stint in BBC Northern Island and she soon began to host various shows under the network. She then hosted her own show, Sky High, and made a guest appearance on the cooking show, Spill the Beans. Aside from hosting, Christine Bleakley was also a presenter of events such as Would You Pass the 11+ and Children in Need.

In Great Britain, Christine Bleakley hosted the BBC 2 talent competition Let Me Entertain You and The One Show on BBC 1. She also participated in the celebrity dance contest Strictly Come Dancing alongside dance partner Matthew Cutler.
